CU and ACS To Collaborate On Production Of The Book Of Mormon
In a shocking turn of events, the University of St Andrews Christian Union and the Afro-Caribbean Society have announced an upcoming production of the Broadway smash-hit musical The Book Of Mormon.
The popular musical, written by South Park creator Trey Parker, follows the misadventures of two young Mormon missionaries on their evangelical journey to an AIDS-ravaged town in Uganda. Peter Saint-Paul, the production’s director, tweeted last night to begin the social media publicity campaign. “We are excited to finally be producing a show in St A which features POC and Christianity in a positive light. Too many all-white sacrilegious musicals! SAD!”
Salvator News reached out to Saint-Paul for comment and he responded that he “is excited to begin rehearsals” just as soon as he listens to the soundtrack for the first time.
